INTRODUCING CEDAR ORTHOPAEDIC DIRECT CARE!

WHAT IS DIRECT CARE?

Accidents don’t keep regular business hours.  If you experience an unexpected bone, joint or muscle injury, or even a deep cut, visit the only facility in Iron County that specializes in direct care for orthopaedic injuries.

CEDAR ORTHOPAEDIC DIRECT CARE offers an alternative to overcrowded emergency rooms and urgent care centers that do not specialize in bone and joint problems.

Our CEDAR ORTHOPAEDIC DIRECT CARE is an extension of Cedar Orthopaedic Surgery Specialty Clinic and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, whether your injury happens during normal office hours or late at night.

Dr. Delcore is available by phone ANY TIME OF THE DAY OR NIGHT to provide direct care for injuries.

Call (435) 586-1003 or (435) DEL-CORE

He will talk with you about your injury and work with you to decide whether to meet you at the office, direct you to the emergency room, or assure you of an early morning office visit.

For faster service and lower cost than an emergency room, consider CEDAR ORTHOPAEDIC DIRECT CARE when you are injured.

No appointment is necessary – just call or walk in – and all ages are welcome.

Cedar Orthopaedic Surgery Specialty Clinic is located at:

1335 Northfield Rd., Suite 200,

frequently asked questions

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS OF OPERATION?

We are available to provide 24/7 Direct Care for injuries.

Just call (435) 586-1003 or (435) DEL-CORE

We will evaluate your injury and decide whether to meet you immediately at the Cedar Orthopaedic office, assure you of an early morning office visit, or direct you to the emergency room, if necessary.

Or feel free to just walk into our office without an appointment during regular business hours, which are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?

Appointments are not necessary – just walk in during the Cedar Orthopaedic Direct Care business hours. If it is after hours, please call and we will answer. After triaging your condition by phone, we may meet you here at the clinic directly for immediate care; we may offer reassurance of an appointment early the next morning; or we may guide you to the emergency room, if necessary.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OVER AN EMERGENCY ROOM?

You will be seen by Cedar Orthopaedic Surgery Specialty Clinic providers who have special training in orthopaedics and a thorough understanding of orthopaedic injuries. If you are treated for an orthopaedic injury in an emergency room or traditional urgent care facility, they will typically have you follow up with an orthopaedic office visit anyway. You can save time and money by going directly to Cedar Orthopaedic Direct Care and be confident that your injury is being treated by a specialist in the orthopaedic field.

Also, as time is important to all of us, you will appreciate wait times that are typically much shorter than they would be at a traditional urgent care facility or emergency room.

HOW ARE YOU DIFFERENT FROM TRADITIONAL URGENT CARE?

Cedar Orthopaedic Direct Care is an extension of Cedar Orthopaedic Surgery Specialty Clinic. Most insurance companies will charge larger copayments for traditional urgent care and emergency room visits. Since Direct Care is an extension of the regular clinic, patients typically pay their regular office copay.

WILL MY INSURANCE COVER MY VISIT?

As with any medical care, it is always recommended that you check with your insurance company to assure coverage.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED DIRECT CARE?

If you have a sudden injury as the result of an accident, sport or other intense physical activity, you may want to visit Cedar Orthopaedic Direct Care. These injuries include, but are not limited to:

  • sprains and strains
  • fractures
  • minor dislocations
  • swollen or painful joints
  • any sudden or severe pain

If you have an ongoing condition, a minor injury with minimal pain, or need to schedule a follow-up visit, you can schedule an appointment at Cedar Orthopaedic Surgery Specialty Clinic.
